Burna Boy bags another BET Awards for the third time.
It wasn’t an easy win for the Nigerian as he was nominated in the category alongside Aya Nakamura (France), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Emicida (Brazil), Headie One (UK), Wizkid (Nigeria), Young T & Bugsey (UK), Youssoupha (France).
Despite the credible names in the pool, Burna Boy was announced as winner of the category at the event which took place on the 27th of June 2021.
Sharing a video online, Burna Boy showed off his award plaque and bragged about how the recent win makes it three consecutive times he’s won BET Awards for Best International Act as he did in 2019 and 2020.
”Three p, it’s my third one, back to back, you get me, no games man. Love you BET man, no stopping,’‘ he said.
