Popular Yoruba actor, Omiyinka Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, have been granted bail at Ikeja court.
Baba Ijesha, was arraigned at a Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja, today, Thursday June 24.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Ikeja Soecial Offence Court granted bail in the sum of two million Naira and two surties to the actor. He was granted bail on the ground that it was part of his fundamental human rights.
The judge ordered that one of the sureties be a blood relative of the defendant and the other, a lawyer.
Baba Ijesha was charged with alleged rape, sexual assault and abuse of comedian Princess Damiola’s foster minor. He was arrested and have been in police custody for over a month before his court hearing today.
