Ismaila Mustapha popularly known as Mompha who is to be arraigned today by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrived the Federal High Court in Lagos.
Mompha is facing 14 counts charges of alleged internet fraud and money laundering.
It was earlier reported that the suspect had filed a suit against the EFCC for detaining him in their custody beyond the constitutionally stipulated days without charging him to court since after his arrest.
Mompha who filed a fundamental right enforcement suits through his lawyers, Gboyega Oyewole (SAN), Ademola Adefolaju, Kolawole Salami and four others, also demanded the sum of N5 million for damages. He also asked the court to order the anti-graft agency to release him unconditionally from their custody.
