The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Zamfara State office, was on Wednesday, stormed by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to Daily Trust, a source disclosed that the EFCC operatives recovered the sum of N65 million believed to part of the N84.6 million which is the allowance of the adhoc staff.
The operatives were said to have stormed the office in a Toyota Hiace bus around 12pm with the staff they arrested and zoomed off around 2pm with about four bags of money and some documents they recovered from the office.
It was gathered that the incident happened following a report made by an aggrieved adhoc staff of the INEC, who said they were cheated by INEC staffs during payment.
The incident has been confirmed by a source at the EFCC.
