The Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) Yusuf Bichi, has received jail threat from a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over continued detention of Human rights activist and convener of #revolutionnow movement, Omoyele Sowore and Olawale Bakare.
It was gathered that the threat was issued by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu on Monday.
This follows after the DSS boss was issued a “notice of consequences of disobedience of court order.”
Further report said, the court warned that the DSS boss will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison if he refuses to obey the Federal High Court’s order to release Sowore and Bakare.
Meanwhile, the #Revolutionnow convener was arrested alongside Bakare on August 3, 2019 over the protest.
They have been under the DSS custody even after the court granted them bail of twice.
