Family of the National Youth Service Corps member who died during the Oyo State election has been compensated by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
It was reported that the corps member, Abimbola Adeniran, an INEC ad-hoc staff died in an auto crash during the election.
The INEC presented a cheque to the family on Friday through the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr Mutiu Agboke at his office in Ibadan, Oyo State.
While speaking with the family, he encouraged them to see their late daughter as a heroine who paid the ultimate price for a better nation, adding that the electoral body will do everything in its power to secure the lives of those working under them.
He urged other adhoc staffs not to be discouraged in serving the country.
He assured that the INEC will ensure a cordial relationship with the National Youth Service Corps and other ad-hoc staff community.
The cheque was received by Missus Folasade Adeyemi, on behalf of the family, she also thanked the electoral body for their thoughtfulness in remembering and commiserating with them.
