The Federal Government and the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has finally reached an agreement on the N30,000 minimum wage.
The organised labour had threatened to go on strike if the government does not meet its demand.
However, after the meeting between the government and the NLC on Thursday, the two parties made some adjustments on the salaries of Nigerian workers.
The agreement is detailed below.
Level seven- 23.2 percent increase
Level eight- 20 percent increase
Level nine- 19 percent increase
Level 10-14- 16 percent increase
Level 15-17- 14 percent increase
After the meeting, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige said the adjustments will take effect immediately.
He added that the agreement will be communicated to the military and paramilitary.
