The governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano has commiserated with the family of the woman and child, including other victims of the tanker explosion in Anambra State.
It was gathered that the tanker explosion happened around upper Iweka, Onitsha road on Wednesday.
The tanker was said to have fell into a ditch and its content poured on the road which resulted to a fire outbreak.
Further reports says, over 500 shops were razed, including buildings, and attempt made by the Anambra State Fire Service to quench the fire proved abortive.
However, Gov Obiano has pledged to assist those whose shops were affected by the fire, he also asked them to report at the Conference Room of the Secretary to the State Government on Monday, October 21, 2019.
The governor also promised to assist the family of the woman and the child who were killed in the explosion.
According to the statement released by the Commissioner for Information & Public Enlightenment Don Adinuba, he said that the government will set up a panel to find out the cause of the accident and as well ascertain why the fire could not be put out by the firemen.
Adinuba also said that the panel will look into how the victims condition will be ameliorated.
