Nigerians have opposed the fees attached to renewal and replacement of National Identification Card by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
The NIMC announced that Nigerians who want to renew their National ID card will have to pay the sum of three thousand naira (N3,000) only, while those who wish to replace their lost or stolen cards will pay the sum of five thousand naira (N5,000).
The NIMC made this known on Tuesday through its Twitter @nimc_ng.
Card renewal is N3000 when your card expires and card replacement is N5000 for lost or stolen cards. https://t.co/8YQRDvYEEb

Reacting to NIMC’s statement on the renewal and replacement of lost or stolen cards, Nigerians complained that most of them who applied for the card some years back are yet to get theirs.
