Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, says former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has joined the ruling party APC. Caretaker chairman of the APC Mai Mala Buni, and Bello on Monday in Abuja.
In a video that went viral on Wednesday, Gov Yahaya Bello is seen addressing a crowd of APC supporters, where he confirmed that Fani-Kayode had joined the party.
“Our brother and friend, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has joined our party in good faith. He’s joining our party to add his own positive energy and make contributions into ensuring that APC is a party to beat,” he said.
Bello also stated that Fani-Kayode is one of the founding members of the APC.
Fani-Kayode had in a statement issued on Tuesday said he would never jettison his fundamental principles nor change his views despite his meeting with the APC leaders. Fani Kayode is yet to confirm his reported defection. In series of tweets posted on Tuesday, FFK said he met with the APC leaders to discuss national issues.
