Ongoing tension in Orlu, Imo state as members of the Nigerian military are allegedly shooting at unarmed civilians.
Soldiers are reportedly said to be back on the streets of Orlu, with Nigerian military fighter jets, gun trucks and military equipments paraded on the streets and air.
According to reports, there is currently an ongoing air strikes as residents had taken to social media to raise alarm over the killing of civilians in the town. Eyewitnesses who posted videos on social media, alleged that the military are carrying out the air strikes while searching for members of proscribed group, IPOB’s Eastern Security Network.
Recall that there was a clash between soldiers and operatives of the Eastern Security Network in Orlu few weeks ago, and this led to destruction of properties and loss of lives in the area.
