Decomposing Body Discovered In Cane Field: Inanda – Kwazulu Natal

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance after members of the public discovered a body along Jabu Ngcobo Road in Tea Estate, Inanda – KZN this afternoon (Sunday).

Reaction Officers responded at approximately 16:25 and on arrival located the body of an unidentified male believed to be in his 30s in the cane field. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition.

Preliminary observations indicate that the deceased may have been strangled, but this could not be immediately confirmed. A tarpaulin (picture 2) was found next to the deceased and is believed to be linked to the incident.

The identity of the deceased is unknown.
