Just in: Elderly Woman Attacked and Robbed in KZN

An elderly woman from Nanda was reportedly attacked and robbed yesterday afternoon after traveling to Redcliffe to meet a friend.

According to reports, the grandmother had gone to meet a friend in the Verulam area. While she was walking along a footpath, the friend suddenly appeared accompanied by two unknown men.

The two men allegedly attacked the elderly woman, hitting her on the forehead with a stone before robbing her. After the attack, the suspects fled the scene together, including the friend who had arranged the meeting.

A passerby later contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), and the elderly woman received assistance from responders.

Authorities have not yet confirmed arrests, and investigations are expected to continue.
