Blitzboks crowned world series champions

NEW YORK – The Springboks Sevens are the 2025/26 World Sevens Series champions.

They beat New Zealand and France before losing to Australia to end second in Pool A.

The Blitzboks then edged Argentina 14-5 in the semi-finals to take on title contestants, Fiji in the final.

Gino Cupido and Tristan Leyds scored the only two unconverted tries, as South Africa triumphed 10-7.
