2 suspects Gets Taken Out By Saps following a car theft Verulam

Two suspects have been apprehended following the recovery of a stolen Toyota Fortuner in a road off Piccadilly Street in the Ottawa area of Verulam on Sunday afternoon.

Tracking agents, together with multiple security companies, acted on intelligence regarding the stolen vehicle. The coordinated operation led teams to a property in the Ottawa area.

The Netstar helicopter was activated and successfully located the vehicle, which was found in the process of being stripped at the identified premises. Ground units were immediately dispatched to the scene, where two suspects were successfully apprehended in connection with the incident.

Upon further inspection of the premises, multiple vehicle parts and accessories were recovered, believed to be linked to vehicle theft operations.

SAPS, together with all security stakeholders, were in attendance. The suspects were transported to SAPS for further processing and investigation.
