Woman Attacked With Boiling Water: La Mercy – KZN
A 49 year old female sustained burn injuries after she was allegedly attacked with boiling water in La Mercy – KZN today (Wednesday).
A member of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was on patrol in the area when he was flagged down for assistance by a member of the public on Genazzano Road.
Upon investigation, the female was found lying on the side of the road with burn wounds to her stomach and left hand. She informed Officers that she had arrived from Empangeni – KZN earlier in the day in search of employment when an unknown resident allegedly threw boiling water on her for unknown reasons. She was unable to recall the location of where the attack occurred.
The female was transported privately to a local clinic for medical treatment.
