EFF Leader, Julius Malema, has told @Radio702 that KZN Police Commissioner, Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, requested a meeting with him via Crime Intelligence’s General Firoz Khan.

Malema: “After I criticised him on the AKA case, I did not ask for a meeting. He asked for one with me.”

Khan’s name keeps surfacing at both the Ad Hoc Committee and the Madlanga Commission, with serious questions around his links to especially some politicians.

Last week, Mkhwanazi told MPs that Crime Intelligence needs a clean-up — and said Khan should be the first to go. He made a series of allegations against Khan.

It’s unclear if the Madlanga Commission has subpoenaed Khan.

Some political parties did not want to call him to the Ad Hoc Committee to testify.
