A 30 year old male was left seriously injured after being assaulted by members of the community this morning Sunday (29/03/2026).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to a pathway after receiving reports of an injured man lying in Trenance Manor, Phoenix – KZN. Reaction Officers arrived and located the victim lying in the grass.
The male informed Officers that he was allegedly accused by community members from Amaoti – KZN of stealing a cellphone.
It is alleged that the community severely assaulted him and left him for dead. He thereafter managed to walk from Amaoti – KZN to Trenance Manor in Phoenix – KZN in an attempt to seek assistance from his Pastor before collapsing on a pathway.
The victim was treated on scene before being handed over to Phoenix SAPS in KZN for further investigation.
