Watch As Home Invaders Meets the shock of their lives in Durban
On 25 March 2026 at approximately 11h00, Marshall Security Special Operations Team members received information regarding three suspects in a white VW Polo who had just broken into a Suzuki Jimny parked at a well-known shopping centre in Ballito.
The suspects stole a blue backpack containing clothing and personal items, a wallet with bank cards, and a black power bank before fleeing the scene. The victim immediately proceeded to Umhlali SAPS, where a case was opened.
Acting swiftly, Marshall Security Special Operations Team members proceeded onto the M4 North towards Ballito to be on the look out for the suspects.
At approximately 12h00, members spotted the identified VW Polo travelling southbound on the M4 near La Mercy. Three occupants were observed in the vehicle, and members began following it.
The suspects continued towards Umdloti, where members successfully intercepted and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of the M4 Umdloti turn-off and the M27. All three suspects were apprehended on scene.
All items reported stolen were recovered from the suspects and inside the vehicle. A bag containing jumper cables and car cleaning items, believed to have been stolen from another vehicle, was also found.

SAPS Durban North arrived shortly thereafter, and the suspects were taken into custody. It was further established that the suspects had used the victim’s bank card to make purchases at a bottle store in Ballito and a fast food chicken outlet before fleeing. Empty food packaging and alcohol bottles were also found inside the vehicle.
The suspects, along with the vehicle and all recovered exhibits, were transported to Durban North SAPS for further processing and investigation.
This Ballito vehicle break-in suspects arrested highlights the importance of immediate action. The victim’s decision to open a case without delay, combined with the rapid response and coordination of Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team and SAPS, played a critical role in ensuring the suspects were located, intercepted, and apprehended.
When incidents are reported quickly and acted on decisively, real results follow. This serves as a reminder that proactive reporting, strong partnerships, and fast, intelligence-led response can make the difference between loss and recovery — and ultimately contribute to safer communities.
