A 76-year-old male Pharmacist was robbed of his cellphone inside a business premises on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched at approximately 07:05 after receiving a call regarding a theft.

Reaction Officers established that two males, as seen in CCTV footage, entered the store and targeted the owner who was seated next to the counter and was on a phone call at the time.

An employee attempted to intervene but was overpowered by the second perpetrator before the individuals grabbed the cellphone and fled.
