Man Shot Dead During Altercation: Mount Royal – KZN
A 36 year old male was fatally shot during an altercation at a residence on Slongobese Road in Mount Royal – KZN at approximately 07:39 this morning (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting. On arrival, Reaction Officers found a male lying on the ground unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest.
It is alleged that the deceased and several associates were consuming alcohol in an outbuilding on the property when a dispute broke out among the group over who would take a load. During the altercation, the male was shot. According to neighbours, the deceased owned a white VW Polo Vivo (registration unknown).
The individuals who were with him fled the scene in the vehicle following the incident.
