Spread the love

A major breakthrough has been made in the brutal killing of beloved Pretoria paramedic, Abraham “Braam” Kruger.

The 40-year-old emergency services veteran was murdered on 2 April 2026 at a guesthouse in Brooklyn, Pretoria. He was found tied up, with clear signs of a struggle, after checking in with a group of men who later fled the scene.

In a coordinated multi-agency operation, police tracked the suspects from Gauteng to KwaZulu-Natal and back. In the early hours of this morning (12 April), four suspects were arrested during a tactical raid in Protea Glen, Soweto.

Authorities confirmed the suspects have been positively identified. Cellphones, bank cards, and clothing believed to be linked to the crime were seized and booked as evidence at Brooklyn SAPS.

A manhunt is still underway for a fifth suspect.
Braam, who would have turned 41 just days after his death, was known for his dedication to saving lives. His murder has shaken the entire Pretoria emergency services community.
Credit to the police teams who worked around the clock to secure these arrests.

Rest in peace, Braam Kruger. Your service and kindness will not be forgotten.🕊️

🙏 Thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
⚖️ The real test now: will the justice system secure a conviction that matches the gravity of this crime?
