Mogotsi seeks Chaskalson’s recusal

JOHANNESBURG – Brown Mogotsi wants the Madlanga Commission, evidence leader Advocate Matthew Chaskalson SC, to recuse himself. 

Mogotsi has filed a complaint against Chaskalson.

Commission chairperson Mbuyiseli Madlanga ordered that Mogotsi’s legal team should file the recusal application no later than the end of business day on Wednesday.

Chaskalson says he will respond to the application on 6 May.

Mogotsi’s legal team will then file a replying affidavit on 11 May.

Mogotsi is then expected to be back at the commission on 15 May.

Meanwhile, it’s believed  Suliman  Carrim might not appear this week at the commission, saying he is not fit.
