Ayanda Dayi Sentenced to Multiple Life Terms + 102 Years
Ayanda Dayi has been sentenced to multiple life terms plus 102 years in prison following his conviction on several serious charges.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila confirmed the heavy sentence.
📍 The Crimes
In May 2024, Dayi shot and killed four men outside a spaza shop in Delft.
Two of the victims were employees of Sasko, delivering bread at the time of the attack. 🍞
In a separate incident in January 2024, Dayi killed two men in Du Noon and hijacked their vehicle.
🏛️ Court Ruling
The Western Cape High Court sentenced Dayi to:
Four life sentences
An additional 102 years imprisonment
The life sentences include the murders committed in both Delft and Du Noon.
Authorities have described the crimes as brutal, and the court’s ruling reflects the seriousness of the offenses.
