JOHANNESBURG – It’s Budget week, and as South Africans wait to hear whether taxes will rise, the real story may be far more subtle.

The headline rates may stay the same when Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana tables the 2026 Budget.

But some say that doesn’t necessarily mean your take-home pay is safe.
