I Started The EFF & Not Malema, Kenny Kunene Reveals

Kenny Kunene claims that the idea of founding the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) was originally his.

He says that after Floyd Shivambu and Julius Malema were expelled from the ANC, he called Shivambu and told him to convince Malema to start a political party.

According to Kunene, Malema initially refused, saying he wanted to focus on his farm in Limpopo. Kunene claims he even drove there to persuade him personally, but Malema still declined until his farm was taken away from him, after which he agreed, saying, “Let’s do it.”
