Just in: KZN Security boss Calvin Mathibeli has just suffered another

Last month, Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi approached the KZN High Court after Mathibeli called him corrupt, captured and insinuated he was behind unlawful killings.

At the time, the court ruled in the provincial commissioner’s favour – but this was challenged by the respondent.

Now, Mathibeli’s leave to appeal the initial judgement – mainly compelling him to publicly retract his defamatory statements and not repeat them – has just been dismissed with punitive costs.

This means he must comply with the above order within 24 hours.
