Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo and 1 South African Tank Regiment in particular confiscate more than R4, 000, 000.00 (four million rands) worth of illicit cigarettes and vehicles.

Acting on intelligence driven operation, our soldiers entered a farm along the R572 road where they discovered 2 x Ford Ranger and a Toyota Hilux D4D valued at R1, 100, 000.00 fully loaded with illicit cigarettes valued at R2, 551, 002.48. One suspect was apprehended and one managed to flee. Their counterparts on the Southern side of Beitbridge Point of Entry confiscated a Toyota Fortuner valued at R250 000.00 fully packed with illicit cigarettes valued at R450 151.20.

Needless to say the South African Police Services members were called to the scene and they took over for further processing as protocol dictates. The Officer Commanding Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi called the Officer Commanding 1 South African Tank Regiment Lieutenant Colonel Lungile Frans to commend his heroes and heroines in camouflage.
