Just In:- Top ANC Politician Shot Dead in Durban

An African National Congress branch convener and councillor in the eThekwini region Sipho Simiso Dlamini has been shot and killed by unknown gunmen in Umgababa south of Durban.

He was travelling home with two community leaders including a traditional leader last night, when they were brutally attacked.

The two escaped with injuries. Dlamini who served as an ANC branch convener in ward 67, has been described by the region as a councillor who showed commitment in improving the lives of the people he led.
