Just In: Watch As Driver escapes a vehicle on fire in Kwazulu Natal
A driver escaped injury after a vehicle caught fire on the R102 at the Palmview intersection on Saturday afternoon.
KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services together with other Emergency Services were dispatched to reports of a vehicle fire.
Upon arrival, emergency teams were met with a VW Golf 1 that was well alight. The scene was secured immediately while the Fire Department was contacted for urgent assistance.

Firefighters arrived a short while later and successfully extinguished the blaze. Thankfully, no injuries were reported at the scene.
During the removal of the burnt vehicle, the breakdown vehicle assisting at the scene also caught alight. The Fire Department acted swiftly and managed to extinguish the second fire with minimal damage reported. All emergency services were in attendance.
