KZN Terror Gang Finally Arrested Following a Fierce Gun Battle
A robbery syndicate responsible for multiple armed robberies across the Phoenix area has been dismantled following a targeted operation conducted by KZN VIP in collaboration with SAPS Phoenix on Wednesday morning.
For the past several months, KZN VIP together with SAPS Phoenix had been actively working on intelligence and tracking the suspects following numerous reports of armed robberies that occurred during the morning hours across the Phoenix community.
Through coordinated intelligence work and strategic tracking, officers were able to locate the suspects’ vehicle, which ultimately led teams to a Scrapyard in the Trenance Manor area.
The suspects were swiftly intercepted, resulting in the successful apprehension of two suspects, while a third suspect fled the scene and remains sought by authorities.
The arrested suspects were positively identified by victims of the robberies and were also found in possession of stolen property taken from victims during the crimes.
During the operation, officers also recovered a toy firearm inside the suspects’ vehicle, which had allegedly been used by the suspects to threaten and intimidate victims during the robberies.
Further investigation revealed that the vehicle’s number plates had been removed, likely in an attempt to avoid detection while committing the crimes.
This successful operation highlights the ongoing collaboration between KZN VIP and SAPS Phoenix in tackling crime and protecting the community.
