Ryan, aged 21, tragically passed away at Leratong Hospital after being brutally stabbed to death.
He was born in Muldersdrift. Ryan began his early childhood education at Play-with-a-Purpose Preschool, continued to Nooitgedacht Primary School, and later attended Dainfern College for his high school years. He went on to further his studies at Boston College and started his first job at Bidon Bistro in Muldersdrift.
Ryan was more than the tragedy that took his life. He was a son, a brother, a young man with a future, and someone deeply loved by those around him. He leaves behind his mother, father, brother, Guardian and extended family, whose lives have been forever changed.
The pain his family has endured did not end on that day.
The physical brutality he suffered was only the beginning. What followed has been years of emotional torment, as they were forced to relive the horror through ongoing court proceedings.
As the final chapter of this long and painful journey approaches, there is hope that justice will be served. Yet, no sentence can ever truly bring justice for such a senseless and heartbreaking loss.
There is no true justice for what was done to you, Ryan. Never.
Only the quiet privilege of having known you, even if for too short a time.
Today, we also remember the strength of your mother, and your beloved Goggo, Thandi, who carry your memory with love and pain every single day.
