SA Man Arrested With Over 50 Stolen Watch
A 40-year-old male suspect was arrested in Vosloorus after police recovered unlicensed live ammunition and suspected stolen property.
The arrest took place on Wednesday, 01 April 2026, during an operation conducted by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Intervention Unit together with the Community Liaison Unit (CLU).
Officers had received information about a suspect allegedly in possession of an unlicensed firearm. Acting on this tip-off, they proceeded to a residence on Moya Street in Mailula Park Extension 3.
Upon arrival, officers searched the premises and discovered one magazine, nine (9) unlicensed 9mm live rounds of ammunition, forty-seven (47) wristwatches, and several vehicle registration plates, all suspected to be stolen.
Investigations are ongoing.
