SAD Day:- One deceased after drowning at a beach in

Earlier today IPSS Medical Rescue received reports of a drowning on Scottburgh Main Beach on the KZN South Coast.

Reports from the scene indicated that a 21-year-old female was found floating in the water, unresponsive. She was retrieved from the water by lifeguards and CPR was immediately initiated by the lifeguards and members of the public prior to the arrival of first responders.

IPSS Medical Rescue continued with Advanced Life Support resuscitation efforts, but sadly despite prolonged efforts the patient was declared deceased.

Thank you to Scottburgh Lifeguards, members of NSRI and members of the public who promptly retrieved the patient and began CPR.
