Serious head-on collision involving two vehicles on the M4

Serious injuries were reported following a head-on collision involving two vehicles on the M4 between Umhloti and La Mercy on Friday morning.

KZN VIP Emergency Medical Services responded swiftly to the scene. Upon arrival, paramedics found two vehicles that had sustained extensive damage, with multiple patients entrapped in the wreckage.

A rapid triage and stabilization process was immediately initiated while additional medical resources were requested to assist on scene.

Patients were carefully extricated using specialized equipment and received advanced life support treatment before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further care.

All emergency services were in attendance and worked together efficiently to manage the scene.
