Two killed in North West light aircraft crash

MAHIKENG – Two people have been killed in a light aircraft crash in the Klipgat area of the North West. 

Aeronautical Rescue Coordination received a satellite distress alert just before 6pm on Thursday.

Emergency teams were dispatched, who found the occupants dead at the scene.

It’s not known what caused the crash, but police and the Civil Aviation Authority are investigating.

The crash is raising concerns of a surge in light aircraft accidents.
