“She’s calling it a snorkel pool. It’s a leaking excavation in Douglasdale that apparently has been around for three years, and residents have complained, and nothing has been done,” says Primedia+ Digital Editor Barbara Friedman.

“As she’s tongue-in-cheek saying, this is probably one of the only new pools that have been built in Joburg,” says Friedman.

In February, another video showing Zille sitting in a water-filled pothole in Linbro Park also went viral.

“Like her or hate her, she is a candidate in Joburg who is going to get the job done.”
