Mugabe, co-accused back in court
JOHANNESBURG – Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe is back in court on Friday.
The son of former Zimbabwean president, Robert Mugabe, has offered to plead guilty to illegal immigration charges and accept deportation.
This is despite facing serious criminal charges, including attempted murder.
Mugabe and his co-accused have been in custody since March for allegedly shooting and injuring a gardener.

In addition to attempted murder, they’re also charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, as well as defeating the ends of justice.
The gun used in the shooting has yet to be found.
