Just in: Ekhurhuleni Mass Shooting leaves two People dead

Two men were shot and killed in Rabie Ridge Extension 2, Ekhurhuleni, last night after unknown gunmen opened fire and fled on foot.

One victim was declared dead at the scene, while the second, an off-duty traffic officer, succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to hospital.

It is believed the suspects may have been targeting a victim at a residence operating as a tavern, while the officer was shot while starting his vehicle nearby.

The motive remains unclear.
