Senior Saps Officer Arrested For R@ping a female detainee at

A police officer has been arrested by Independent Police Investigative Directorate over allegations of raping a female detainee at a Germiston police station on 21 April 2026.

The woman, who was in custody on a domestic violence-related matter, allegedly reported the assault to her sister during a visit.

IPID launched an investigation, identified the officer, and arrested him.

He is due to appear in court on 28 April 2026 while investigations continue.
