TWO KZN TRT OFFICERS DIE IN WITBANK CRASH

Two KwaZulu-Natal TRT police officers who were part of a team fighting vehicle smuggling to Mozambique have reportedly died in a car accident near Witbank.

According to reports, the officers were travelling to Pretoria to present evidence in court related to a vehicle smuggling case when the accident happened.

Both officers died at the scene. The incident has shocked colleagues and members of the community, as the officers were said to be involved in efforts to combat cross-border vehicle theft and smuggling.

Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the crash.
