A robbery at a Boxer store in Bushbuckridge ended in tragedy after one of the suspects was killed during a dramatic escape attempt.
According to reports, the suspect and accomplices attempted to rob the store but their plan quickly fell apart. During the chaos, the suspects fled the scene, triggering a pursuit.
In a shocking turn of events, the main suspect was struck by a cash-in-transit (bank) vehicle while trying to escape. Witnesses say the vehicle ran over him, crossing over his body twice. He was declared dead at the scene. This came after the suspect reported stabbed the driver with a knife and he was bleeding.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the full details of the incident or whether other suspects have been arrested. Investigations are ongoing.
