Perridgevale Cable thief caught shocked by electric while he was

This cable thief was arrested in Perridgevale after a security response officer spotted suspicious activity near a manhole in Diaz Road during an early morning patrol. The officer allegedly found the man stealing cable from the manhole and called for backup before detaining him.

According to the reports, he was found with his hands burned from what looks like an electric shock

Authorities confiscated a panga believed to have been used to cut the cable, along with about 90 metres of stolen cable found in the suspect’s possession. SAPS members from Mount Road Police Station later arrived and took the suspect into custody.
