In October last year, Malema was found guilty on five charges relating to the Firearms Control Act.

State prosecutor Joel Cesar said the court must consider the degree of premeditation and the lack of remorse by Malema.

However, the EFF leader’s legal team is denying these claims. Instead, they believe that the state has misinterpreted some of the evidence given in court by their client.
