CIT heist suspect found dead after botched explosives setup this week:

A cash-in-transit robbery in Kranskop on 13 April 2026 saw a suspect found dead the next day in an abandoned vehicle near the Tugela River towards Nkandla.

The gang, believed to be around 12 members, stole an undisclosed amount of money, robbed three guards of firearms, hijacked four vehicles, and fired shots toward a police station.

KZN police have launched a manhunt for the remaining suspects.
